As the Chairman and CEO of Emergent BioSolutions, Fuad El-Hibri oversees the development and manufacturing of vaccines for the treatment of diseases. Fuad El-Hibri is also a member of the board of trustees for the International Biomedical Research Alliance.
The International Biomedical Research Alliance (IBRA) is made up of a group of private citizens who are dedicated to the training of top biomedical researchers, giving them the ability to investigate new cures, treatments, and preventions using modern equipment. Organized in 2005, the Alliance was developed as a joint effort between the University of Oxford, the University of Cambridge, and the National Institutes of Health.
The IBRA helps to organize and provide funds for a number of events and programs each year that allow mentors and scholars to exchange ideas and theories regarding their own biomedical research. The annual Scholar-Mentors Colloquium is just one of the events made possible by the support of the IBRA.
